New to Camp Menesetung this year, Bridge Camp is a cross between Day Camp and Overnight Camp as a bigger introduction to Overnight Camping.
Bridge Camp is like Day Camp, except all Bridge Campers sleepover on Wednesday & Thursday nights. This allows Bridge Campers to experience our evening programming, campfires, and to get to know what it's like to sleep at an overnight camp.
Bridge Campers attend camp on Monday & Tuesday from 9:00am-4:00pm (unless you have added on Before/After-care)
Bridge Campers arrive on Wednesday at 9:00am with their overnight belongings (packing list), and stay with us until our Friday Bridge Camp Closing Campfire at 3:45pm - Pick Up 4:00pm.
Before-Care: We offer a before-care program, which runs from as early as 7:30am Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday and includes a full breakfast.
After-Care: We offer an after-care program, which runs until 6:00pm Monday & Tuesday (aftercare is not available on Fridays), and includes a full supper
August 8-11, 2017 Ages: 6-11
Week Theme: To Be Announced
This Tuesday-Friday (3 sleeps) camp following the August long weekend is the perfect introduction to overnight camp for those who haven't tried it before. Make new friends and bring your own, to this 3 night sleepover jam packed with fun!
We see many day campers return for this week for the full experience, it's a great way to reconnect with friends they have made in the earlier weeks.
This week includes all of our usual program areas: Archery, Climbing Wall, Pool, Arts&Crafts, Music&Drama, Outdoor Living Skills, Low Ropes, all camp games and more!
Overnight Camp places children in a position of independence, and gives them the choice of how they will represent themselves to new people. Being placed in this position will allow them to take ownership of the values you have endeavoured to cultivate in a supportive environment grounded in strong morals, a vision to celebrate difference, and acceptance of everyone.
Sleeping away from home is a big step! We will do our very best to ensure that it is a positive one.
Campers Experience Additional Programming
