Meet Our Team

The Staff Team at Menesetung is made up of enthusiastic
post-secondary and high school students who are
passionate about working with kids and living camp.

All staff undergo intensive training, and are required to have
current certifications in Standard First Aid, CPR-C, and undergo
a vulnerable sector police record check.

All staff marked "*" are also part of our new Spring Program Staff Team!
Responsible for overseeing and implementing all aspects of Camp Operations throughout the year. (i.e. Grant writing, hiring, marketing, training, registrations, coming up with crazy ideas, and having the most fun!)

Responsible for planning the menu, placing food orders, preparing, cooking, and serving all meals & snacks at Camp. Also responsible for instructing and overseeing all kitchen staff.

A member of the leadership team - Responsible for overseeing camp programming and theme implementation, providing support to all Program Coordinators, planning and implementing daily camp wide activities, and day-to-day scheduling.

Education & Certifications: Bachelors of Outdoor Recreation, Parks, and Tourism with a specialization in Leadership; 11 years of summer camp experience; currently in Teachers College.

A member of the leadership team - Responsible for supporting a team of counsellors, ensuring 24/7 supervision of all campers on site, maintaining staff/camper ratios of 8:1 or better. Responsible for providing leadership development to the Leaders In Training. Responsible for creating, and implementing safe, fun, and themed Climbing Wall and Low Ropes activities for groups of campers throughout the day. Also responsible for supervising groups of campers, and inspecting all adventure elements equipment.

A member of the Leadership Team and the Health Team. Responsible for spiritual care of all staff and campers at Camp, including creating, and implementing fun, and themed Faith Discovery activities for groups of campers throughout the day, Camp wide Vespers, and Staff FLASH (Faith Learning and Sharing).

Education & Certifications: Currently studying at the United Theological College/McGill in pursuit of a Master of Divinity. Bachelor of Social Sciences Women's Studies and Political Science. Bilingual English/French. First Aid/CPR, Candidate for Ordination (Ministry) in the United Church of Canada.

A member of the Health Team - Responsible for ensuring all health and safety at Camp, including proper storage and distribution of camper medication, and acting as a first responder to all injuries of varying degrees.

A member of the Health Team - Responsible for maintaining complete health safety at the pool at all times, including ensuring active supervision among other lifeguards, and maintaining regulation pool water levels and cleanliness.

Lifeguard
Responsible for maintaining complete health safety at the pool at all times while guarding. Balance pool programming responsibilities with Head Lifeguard and other lifeguards. Creating engaging themed pool activities for the summer!

Responsible for preparing and supporting day camp counsellors, ensuring 100% supervision and staff-camper ratios of 8:1 or better. Plans and implements most effective day camp routines and protocols. Actively leads groups of day campers through their day as a role model for other day camp counsellors.

Responsible for creating, and implementing safe, fun, and themed Outdoor Living Skills activities for groups of campers throughout the day. Also responsible for supervising groups of campers, lighting campfires, and taking campers on hiking outtrips.

Also responsible for daily safety inspections of all climbing wall, low ropes, and harnessing equipment, supervising groups of campers, and ensuring that their Adventure Elements Assistant is observing best practice in safety and supervision in all areas.
