GrandSparks Day Camp
A program designed to facilitate interactive outdoor play for Grandparents and Grandkids!
What is GrandSparks?
Inspired by the GrandSparks Camp program developed by Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health, GrandSparks is a short-day, day camp program that challenges grandparents to interactive outdoor play and recreation with their grandchildren.
Each morning will include sessions like: archery, swimming in the pool, canoeing, hiking, low ropes, games, time for grandkids to play while grandparents relax, and more. This program will also include a nutritional component where everyone helps prepare lunch together after a morning of physical activity.
You don’t have to officially be a senior, or a grandparent, to participate. You only need to be an older adult bringing a youth buddy. Grandparents are welcome to bring several grandkids, and grandkids are welcome to bring several grandparents! We have even had grandkids bring a different grandparent every day!
Don’t worry if you feel you are “out of shape”! All of our activities are designed to suit the abilities of all participants!

2024 COST per person for the Week:
Includes Lunch, Activities, and Tax!
Early Bird Rate (Before April 31): $175
Regular Rate (After May 1): $200
How to Register:
Clicking the Register button below will take you to our online registration portal. If the grandkid is a returning camper, you may find it easier to sign in to their existing account to complete the registration.
Create a new account, or log-in to your existing account.
Select ‘Camp Menesetung Summer 2024’.
Complete your profile by adding in contact information for yourself and general information about the grandkid(s) being signed up.
Register the grandkid for the program ‘GrandSparks Day Camp’, and select from the ‘session options’ the number of grandparents that will be attending as well that week. NOTE: If you are signing up multiple Grandkids, only add the number of Grandparents attending onto one of the grandkids’ registrations.
Complete the GrandSparks Day Camp Registration Form which will allow you to let us know the names of all the participants attending, dietary restrictions, health care accommodations etc.
Select your preferred payment method (credit card, e-transfer, cheque, or instalment payments)
Submit your registration - you should receive a confirmation email!
