We’re looking for a Camp Coordinator!
Location: Hybrid Model (office at Camp Menesetung with opportunity to work some hours virtually)
Reports to: Camp Menesetung Board of Directors
Hours of Work: Full Time April 1 – September 30; Part Time October 1 – March 31
Rate of Pay: $40,000 – $45,000 annually based on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, community focused, Camp Coordinator to provide leadership and oversee programming for the camp.
Key Responsibilities:
Advocacy
Support staff, campers and families to feel safe, accepted, valued and included with the opportunity to participate in all aspects of camp to the best of their ability
Building Relationships
Foster respectful, trusting and supportive relationships with staff, campers, families and community stakeholders
Championing Change & Innovation
Bring forward ideas and embrace new approaches to enhance the quality of the camping experience year round
Facilitating Growth and Development
Encourage and promote positive change that meets the needs of the community and families
Inclusive Leadership
Model inclusion, respect, collaboration, solution focused approaches and coaching to promote a growth mindset learning environment for staff
Resilience
Demonstrate an ability to adapt positively to change, practice self care for mind and body
Problem Solving and Decision Making
Demonstrate an ability to respond quickly in emergency situation but also have the ability to collaboratively problem solve with sound judgement, flexibility and creativity
Resource Management
Assist in the development of an annual budget and demonstrate the ability to work within the budget, using resources, time and supports responsibly and efficiently
Strategic Thinking
Contribute to the camp by demonstrating an ability to understand and execute the short- and long-term goals by aligning daily programming, networking and advocacy with the desired outcomes
Valuing Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment where all people feel safe, respected and valued.
Qualifications:
Required:
Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C
Clean Police Record Check
Ability to lead, motivate and coach a staff team
Ability to work long hours during peak season
Strong communication & customer service skills
G License and a clean driving record
Experience with Google Workspace
Preferred:
Experience working with children and youth
Experience working with ropes & challenge course
ORCKA or Paddle Canada Certifications
ACCT Level 2 Certification
