What are they? 

5 different field trip programs for Grades K-12

How many students can attend?

We are prepared to inspire up to 3-4 classes from your school at once!

When are they? 

May 13, 2024 - June 27, 2024.

How much do they cost?

For our regular day-trip the cost is $25/student or $27/student if you choose to use our Climbing Wall - prices include tax!

For our extended day trip (see program guide below for details) the cost is $47/student

How do I book my trip? 

Complete our Online Booking Form to reserve your preferred date(s) and we will send you a confirmation with further information!

At Camp Menesetung, we believe that the power of the outdoors in combination with compelling challenges, creates a learning environment that motivates students to enthusiastically support their peers, and productively engage with the world around them.

To that end, we have developed a set of day-trip school programs for May and June, catered to facilitate hands on learning for specific educational areas, for students Grades K-12.

Our enthusiastic Spring Staff team have 5 different programs for you to choose from: Team-building, Phys. Ed., Outdoor Ed., Mixed, and Extended Day. We have put together a program guide, containing detailed information about each of our programs.

NEW for 2024! We have added a second side to our climbing wall, doubling the number of climbers who can climb at a time. This increases our school group capacity and reduces wait times!

Paperwork help for Teachers & Principals

Booking a trip can mean lots of paperwork these days, we would like to help as much as we can! Here are some answers that should help with your field trip proposal:

  • Specific curriculum expectations can be found in our program guide for each program we offer. In general, our trips offer outdoor education, physical education, and environmental education through the lens of facilitated teambuilding and individual challenge by choice.

  • Yes we can provide proof of $2,000,000 liability insurance! Didn’t receive it with your confirmation email? Let us know! - director@campmenesetung.ca | 519 524 6497

  • Some superintendents and principals consider our Climbing Wall a Higher Risk activity. We can help with that! It is worth noting that a climbing wall is different than rock climbing which is a high risk activity. We fully follow OPHEA guidelines for all of our activities, and have included the OPHEA guidelines links below for your convenience.

    We do not offer swimming, canoeing, or kayaking with school groups, and during beach activities, students do not enter Lake Huron.

  • Archery

    Climbing Wall - In our setup we use 1 instructor per active line.
