Leadership Training Programs
Leaders In Training (LITs): For those turning 15 this calendar year. Register as an LIT camper. One program, 3-4 Weeks of training, experience, volunteer hours, good food, and fun at camp with a great group of people. All for the price of 1 week of summer camp!
Counsellors In Training (CITs): For those turning 16 this calendar year. Apply to become a CIT. 12 days of intensive training, 5-6 weeks of heavily supported experience, opportunities to gain free certifications. This free program includes: weekly honourariums, Summer Co-Op Credits (or volunteer hours), certifications, a full summer of room & board, work experience, and references!
GrandSparks Day Camp
Day Camp for Grandparents & Grandkids!
Running the week of August 19-23, 2024 this is a short-day day camp program specially designed to challenge Grandparents to interactive outdoor play and recreation with their Grandchildren. Inspired by the GrandSparks Camp program developed by Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health, this program will strengthen the connection between Grandparents & Grandkids, and has been proven to have positive health outcomes for seniors.
